Powers Resource Center Accepts 2 Awards from HR.com
PRC’s Engage Leadership Program Picks up 2 TOP 10 Awards on Feb. 4 at LEAD2016 National HR Conference

Boulder, Colo., February 17, 2016 – Powers Resource Center, a Boulder-based employee engagement, talent development and leadership training company, accepted two awards last week – Best Experienced/Senior Leaders Program and Top Leadership Partner – from HR.com, the largest global social networking and resource site for HR Professionals.

The awards were presented to Tara Powers, CEO for Powers Resource Center, on February 4 in Nashville, TN, at the LEAD2016 Leadership Excellence awards ceremony.

“It is always rewarding to be recognized for your work but it is particularly gratifying when a small, women-owned company like mine can beat out programs from large organizations like Honda, MIT and Level 3,” said Powers. “Our mission is to build talent capabilities and close the talent gap for organizations, so it is a real honor for our Engage Leadership Program to receive this kind of recognition.”

Powers Resource Center placed 8th in the Best Experienced/Senior Leaders Program, which recognizes organizations that build leadership strength at the top of the organization through continued development of its existing senior leaders. It also placed #7th in the Top Leadership Partner category which recognizes the great work of a leadership partner or provider.

Powers Resource Center is a past winner of the Leadership 500 Excellence Award from HR.com in 2015 and 2014.

“Effective leadership development programs and activities are a must in today’s business. Without leadership, all other resources are ineffective, whether you are operating a non-profit, educational institution, government department, small business, or a large corporation. Programs and individuals recognized in the Leadership Excellence Awards program have made significant contributions developing leaders,” stated Debbie McGrath, CEO of HR.com.

Recipients of the Leadership Excellence Awards for 2016 were recognized for outstanding achievements in leadership development and programs in the areas of Education, Corporate, and Individuals. The prestigious Leadership Awards salute the world’s top leadership practitioners and programs and highlight their roles in developing their most important asset – their people.

For more than 33 years, Leadership Excellence, now a part of HR.com, has identified and recognized the top leadership organizations and their strategies and solutions in a yearly ranking by appropriate category. This year, the ranking process and award categories were streamlined and updated to better define the leadership efforts nominated.
